Chocolate Honey Krispies
For the festive season, here is a recipe for the children (and the young at heart) :
- 4oz Set Honey
- 4oz Rice Krispies
- 4oz Butter
- 8oz Plain Chocolate
- ¼ tsp Almond essence
Melt the honey with butter and almond essence in a bowl over saucepan of hot water.
Stir in the Rice Krispies and press the mixture into 20cm/8in square tin. Chill until firm.
Melt the chocolate in a basin over a saucepan of hot water. Spread the melted chocolate over the honey krispies and leave until set. Using a hot knife, cut into small squares and serve on a doily-lined plate.
